1/19 Survey: Iowa Really Puts the 'Minimum' in Minimum Wage
It's time to look at creative alternatives that will allow some relief
With inflation having increased in recent years and the minumum wage in Iowa remaining the same for an astonishing Local governments in cities and counties should be allowed to raise the minimum wage above the state's dismal $7.25 an hour. No state has kept it's wage at $7.25 as long as Iowa has. We lag our neighbors and other states traditionally viewed as more conservative when it comes to government action. We're an outlier, and not in a good way. Do you support providing Iowa workers some relief in the form of local or county minimum wage laws that go above the state's minimum?
